Hearing Aid Selection
How do you find the best hearing aid? Choosing hearing aids can be a daunting process because there are literally hundreds of options. At Pacific Hearing Service, it is our job to help you narrow the options down to one or two. Because we are a private practice, we have the freedom to work with the manufacturers we believe have the best products. We don’t have a large corporation limiting us. This means we have a wider range of hearing devices to choose from.
How do we help you narrow it down? We use information we gather during your comprehensive hearing evaluation and combine it with what you tell us about your personal listening needs and other concerns:
- Typical listening demands (examples: business meetings, TV, theatre, restaurants, family gatherings, hobbies)
- Technology interests (Are you interested in Bluetooth or other wireless connectivity or do you want to put them in and forget it?)
- Cosmetic preferences
- Physical limitations (arthritis, other dexterity issues, low vision)
- Budget concerns
Hearing aid technology is evolving to meet the needs of people communicating in a wide range of situations. Choosing hearing aids does not have to be a difficult process. It’s our job to help you find the best hearing aids for your personal needs. See our products page for more information about specific technology options.
