PACIFIC HEARING SERVICE

Outstanding business, outstanding people. I have been working with these fine folks for well over 5 years, first to help with my father's hearing needs and now with mine. The founders--Dr. Baxter and Dr. Clark--are caring entrepreneurs who give back to the community and hire excellent staff. Today (and before) I met with Dr. Raguscus ("Brook"). She is knowledgeable, responsive, capable, and delightful to work with. Can't speak highly enough about Pacific Hearing. BTW, I don't mean to overlook the support staff: Excellent!
I just came back from a hearing aid cleaning and wax removal from my ears. They were extremely well organized. Patients were screened and then separated, each then welcomed inside separately, rooms were marked as "clean" or "used" -- the rooms were obviously cleaned between well space use. I felt 100% safe and it was all done with the usual staff, now gloved and masked, a staff that is always friendly, helpful and polite.
Had issues with my ear and went here to see if they could solve my problem. Very nice and professional in every aspect. Dr. Brook Raguskus, Au.D. addressed all my concerns and questions as well as informed me of how my issues were created! Cannot recommend this place more and will make this my permanent place when I need an audiologist
If you want the best in audiology care and advice regarding hearing aids make an appointment with Dr. Rachael Otto. I've been struggling with hearing aids for the past 5 years and Dr. Otto found the ones that work best for me. Now I can hear the questions that are asked of me and engage in meaningful conversation with people. Thanks Dr. Otto.
Wonderful experience from scheduling my appointment for earwax removal to actually getting the procedure. My right ear was completely blocked and both ears were getting loud buzz sounds. The doctor was gentle and walked me step by step through out the procedure. I am so thankful I didn't have any hearing lost. So happy I found Pacific Hearing Service.
What do I like about PHS? Compassion and communication. Approachability and caring. Friendly and professional. Deeply knowledgable and detailed. Persistent and organized.
Dr. Debbie Clark has a wonderful way of communicating her deep technical knowledge. Her company stays on top of all the new innovations in hearing devices. I agree with a prior reviewer: This place is the gold standard for hearing healthcare services. Don't think twice - make an appointment today.
These are really caring souls who deliver first class service. Everytime I turn around, they are doing something more from their hearts--whether it is going the extra mile for a patient, selflessly giving in their community to those less fortunate, or giving their time, talent and treasures traveling the world doing humanitarian work. My admiration and deep respect goes out to them.
I have been so impressed with Pacific Hearing. I have had hearing aids for the last 25 years. I used to go to another top hearing company in PA but they were more into selling me new hearing aids than helping me learn how to use the ones I have. I changed to Pacific Hearing and I have not been disappointed. I finally bought new hearing aids. Not only were my questions answered but they offer free classes on how to hear and communicate better with hearing aids, and another free class on how to use a specific kind of hearing aids. Wow!! They really care about me. How special is that. I may sound like an ad but I promise you I am not. This place is the best! You won't be disappointed.
I was referred to a hearing service by my ENT to get a hearing test after experiencing ringing in my ears. Needless to say, I was pretty anxious going in to have my hearing checked. Everyone at Pacific Hearing was terrific, but a special appreciation for Dr. Rebecca Dolan. She conducted my hearing assessment. She put me at ease, explained what she was doing, broke down the results in a way I could understand and was extremely compassionate. I highly recommend her.
Very excited about the upcoming young adult with hearing loss meetup on Thursday, September 27th, 2018 from 6:30 pm - 8 pm at Pacific Hearing. The meetup is called Beak the Silence and the audiologists were kind to let us use their Menlo Park office as a meeting place. Can't wait to meet everyone.
I fully admit I was in deep denial that my hearing was suffering. After Dr. Otto's hearing test and mapping the results out both in a scientific way and in an intuitive, easy to grasp way, I finally (!) understood why* I couldn't hear my husband in a crowded room anymore, or why background noise was louder than whomever was speaking directly to me. Now it all makes sense thanks to Dr. Otto's kind and patient explanation and answering all my questions.Dr. Otto is outstanding, not only as an audiologist, but for "getting" that while in my early 40s, I did not want a visible hearing aid. She offered options, solutions, and we ultimately found a great fit for my needs that is indeed invisible. With gradual hearing loss over many years, I didn't realize how incredible it is to hear full sound again - birds chirping! wind blowing! full bilateral hearing! If you're on the fence, run, don't walk to Pacific Hearing Service. Outstanding.
I went in for a wax cleaning because my ears had been clogged for a while, and the over-the-counter stuff wasn't working. Dr. Rachel Appleton was great - super thorough while being super efficient, and attentive in describing the process each step of the way. They used various different tools and were very obviously experienced about how to go about it. The customer service from the support staff was also excellent.Afterwards, I was surprised by how much more clearly and crisply I could hear. Definitely worth it.
Dr. Otto and the staff at Pacific Hearing are all incredibly nice and helpful people. Came in today with a sudden case of muffled hearing in my left ear and Dr. Otto was quickly able to help me identify potential causes and make recommendations that were in line with what I was thinking. She is extremely knowledgeable and made me feel as if I was in control of my hearing moving forward. Huge ups to this awesome clinic.

There are very few audiologists in the Bay Area that are as experienced, talented and profoundly genius as Debbie Clark. Trust me, I've seen them all. Debbie and I have been working together for 12+ years. I do whatever she says - that's how much confidence I have in her. She's a wonderful person, huge heart and immensely knowledgeable about audiology, devices and all things re innovations in hearing advancements. Go see her - you won't regret it.
My parents joined us in Los Altos after they were evacuated from the Santa Rosa fire with the clothes they were wearing. It has been a trying time for my parents who are in their late 80's. My mother, who is profoundly hard of hearing, broke one of her hearing aides one evening and was completely devastated. Her audiologist from Santa Rosa suggested we try Pacific Hearing to see if they could give her a loaner. We went unannounced and were greeted with kindness and compassion by the entire staff. Not only that, but Dr. Debbie Clark took time from her lunch to help my very anxious mother. She was incredibly patient and took great care to speak with my mother clearly and carefully....and then she performed a miracle and fixed my mother's brand new hearing aides. She didn't stop there though! She arranged for my mother to spend time learning more about the care and handling of her aides by one of her lovely staff. My dad was so touched by their generosity we came back later with a box of See's candy as a show of gratitude. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME!!!! I have a relaxed and happy mother!
I took my father-in-law's broken hearing aid in for repairs. The brand was not something they worked with yet the front desk and audiologist were super helpful. The audiologist checked it, explained what was wrong, then gave me a printout with details of other stores that could fix that brand and offered suggestions for what could be done if those stores were unable to fix it. Very helpful and kind!
I am writing this review on behalf of my father-in-law. My father-in-law came to visit us from the East Coast and was having problems with his hearing aid. We found this place on Yelp and he decided to "drop in" for help. The staff was very welcoming, patient and helpful. We really appreciate all the time you gave him.
Over a number of years my hearing deteriorated from a long and continuing fight with AIIED (Auto Immune Inner Ear Disorder). As my hearing worsened, I needed hearing aids that could keep up with my loss. Brook Raguskus at Pacific Hearing Service helped me through a very difficult period by insuring I had the appropriate technology, education and related equipment.
Ultimately, I lost all of my hearing on both sides and am now the proud owner of bilateral cochlear implants and my hearing is near perfect.
My life is far better for having met Brook and the team at PHS. I am forever grateful for their help and recommend them highly and without hesitation. Thank you!!!
