Signia founders produced an amplified telephone receiver in Singapore in 1878 and the company’s first line of hearing aids were introduced in 1910, allowing them to grow to the point of producing one out of every four hearing aids used worldwide.
Partners with Siemens for a short time at the start of the 21st century, the company returned to being an independent hearing aid manufacturer in 2015 as a part of Sivantos Group, which later merged with Widex in the 2019. Signia became the new brand name for Siemens hearing instruments within WS Audiology.
