Meet Our Winner – Hear For The Holidays Giveaway

Not long ago, we announced our Hear for the Holidays giveaway, which gives one person in Silicon Valley the opportunity of a lifetime.

After reading through many nominations, we were stunned by the kindness and generosity of so many of you.

In Silicon Valley, we know that many people have struggled mentally, physically, and financially this year. Our Hear for the Holidays giveaway is one way that we hoped to have given back to the community and raise some good spirits in time for the holidays.

So, without further speculation, the winner of our 2021 Hear for the Holidays giveaway is Luba Keller!

Luba is an extraordinary lady. She has survived the unthinkable and is here to tell the tale today.

At age 13, Luba and her family were taken away by the Nazis and enslaved during WW2. Her immediate family perished in the concentration camps, and she met her husband shortly after the war ended. They came to the US with no more than $8 in their pockets and could barely speak English.

Together, Luba and her husband worked hard to raise 3 sons and send them to college. Luba has survived the Holocaust, emigrated to New York, and raised a family.

Her message to us? “May you live many more years and enjoy your families, because it all passes so quickly.”

Luba said, “I can hear now, and I feel like I can live many more years. I feel healthy!

“My grandkids are coming (for the holidays) and it will be wonderful to hear them. I just feel warm. I can hear everything!”

We were delighted to be able to provide Luba with a pair of hearing devices to allow her to stay connected to her great-grandchildren.

Congratulations, Luba! You warmed our hearts!

On another note, we would like to say thank you to everyone who took part.

We feel so lucky to be able to make a difference in people’s lives and Hear for the Holidays is just another reason why we love what we do.

Do you know somebody that needs to see this? Why not share it?
