Prescription Hearing Aid Technology

Helping You to Choose The Right Hearing Technology Based on Your Lifestyle, Budget, and Unique Circumstances

Along with the right provider, great hearing technology is an important part of the puzzle of achieving better hearing.

Although many websites will try to persuade you that one brand of device is the best, there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to selecting the right prescription hearing aids based on your unique circumstances.

From our long experience, we’ve learned there are many factors involved in recommending a particular hearing device. We consider many factors including your lifestyle, listening environments, ear-to-brain hearing function, and budget.

Having relationships with all the major manufacturers, we can choose from many different hearing devices to make the right recommendation for you along with the right treatment plan to achieve better hearing.

Hearing aid technology has progressed at a rapid pace with many of today’s devices being small, discreet, and incredibly powerful. In fact, it’s highly likely that a friend, colleague, or loved one of yours wears hearing aids and you’ve never noticed.

With powerful rechargeable batteries, incredible performance, and the ability to connect your hearing devices to your smartphone, television, and computer, the latest technology doesn’t just amplify your hearing, but it also amplifies many key areas of your life.

Your first step is to schedule a hearing assessment to determine what – if any – hearing help you need, and then for our expert team to make a recommendation for you based on our experience.

The Different Styles of Prescription Hearing Aids

If you have a mild to moderate hearing loss, then IIC hearing aids are custom-fitted and come in a choice of colors. IICs are unique, as they’re inserted deep into the ear canal, so depending on your ear shape, they’re often invisible when worn. This is a huge advantage for the style-conscious wearer.

Unlike the IICs, these aids are comfortably inserted and extracted from your ear, with the small “handle” peeping out the side. They are custom-made and mostly invisible, as well as coming in a range of colors to match the skin tone of your inner ear. They’re the perfect choice if you have a mild to moderate hearing loss.

ITC hearing aids feature a custom fit, skin-matching colors, and can be inserted and extracted with ease. Made to look as if they are a part of your natural ear, these aids are the perfect choice if your hearing is diminishing at a steady pace. Suitable for mild to mildly severe hearing losses.

Mildly severe to severe hearing loss patients may find ITE hearing aids beneficial due to their sleek design that fits perfectly to the ear’s outer entrance. They are incredibly comfortable to wear and offer maximum hearing coverage. Available in a variety of colors, they’re custom-made and can be matched to your skin tone.

Barely visible when worn, the RIC style is an instrument in which the receiver, or speaker, is inside the ear canal. Thin electrical wires are used instead of a plastic acoustical tube, reducing distortion. RIC hearing aids provide a comfortable, open fit and are perfect for mild to moderate hearing losses.

When you think “hearing aid” – the chances are you’re thinking of the BTE design. Usually worn by moderate to severe hearing loss patients, the technology is housed in the casing of these hearing aids, ensuring they rest comfortably behind the ear while the clear plastic acoustical tube sends the amplified sounds into a customized earmold that’s fitted inside the canal. Available in many different colors, they come with easy-to-use buttons and are highly discreet.

These pioneering hearing-enhancing earbuds have been specifically engineered with advanced medical-grade technology, to help you focus on what you want to listen to, without just turning up the volume.

The innovative design uses 4 dedicated microphones to reduce background noise and improve speech clarity, so whether you’re chatting with your partner in a busy café or catching up with friends over dinner, the sounds that matter will be crystal-clear.
