Danyel Samuelsen
Patient Care Coordinator
Danyel grew up in Saratoga and went to school at SFSU.
She chose to enter the world of hearing care due to her mom’s experience with hearing loss. Danyel’s mom began losing her hearing in her 30s and relied on hearing aids through the early 2000s. In 2007, she received her first cochlear implant, and five years later, another on her left side.
Watching her mom navigate life with hearing loss showed Danyel what true resilience looks like. Her mom’s strength and ability to adapt to each new hearing device made hearing health deeply meaningful to Danyel and inspired the path she’s on today.
As our patient care coordinator, Danyel is the first point of contact for patients and their care at Pacific Hearing Service. She loves to provide great customer service for patients. Danyel finds empathizing with patients and creating a comfortable and inviting space for them so rewarding. She also loves supporting all the providers with anything they need to ensure efficient patient care.
When she’s not working, Danyel loves keeping in touch with her pen pals. She has pen pals in Canada, Singapore, the UK, and the Netherlands. She shares that it is so fun to be able to form bonds with people from all over the world and learn about their culture, day-to-day lives, and bond over the latest Real Housewives episodes (LOL!).
