Audiology Doctoral Student
B.A.
Ethan grew up in San Jose and completed his undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his externship at Pacific Hearing Service and is now serving patients as an audiologist.
Having witnessed how hearing loss impacted his grandfather’s life, Ethan knew that audiology was the career he wanted to pursue. As he grew up, he noticed his grandfather experiencing increasing difficulty hearing the world around him, which inspired Ethan to enter a field where he could truly make a difference.
While in college, Ethan volunteered with both speech-language pathologists and audiologists, discovering that he enjoyed the work of both professions. What drew him to audiology was knowing that one day he could help people like his grandfather. Ethan recalls how a team of audiologists took the time to sit down with him and share why they loved what they did. This sense of teamwork, combined with his family inspiration, solidified his passion for hearing healthcare.
Ethan works both in the office at Los Altos and offsite at various senior living communities. His primary audiology interests include hearing aids, cochlear implants, and cerumen removal, and he is always eager to continue learning and expanding his clinical knowledge.
Ethan truly enjoys working with his team and patients. He appreciates the positive attitudes people bring into the office and finds it rewarding to see patients leave happy and grateful for improved hearing. He values that every day is different, offering new perspectives and experiences.
In his free time, Ethan enjoys cooking, exploring nature, and hosting events that bring people together.'
