Doctoral Audiology Student
B.A.
I was born and raised in Fresno, California. I earned my undergraduate degree in Communicative Disorders–Audiology from Fresno State and am currently pursuing my Doctor of Audiology degree at Rush University in Chicago.
I chose audiology because I am passionate about helping patients improve their quality of life and communication abilities. Hearing plays such an important role in connecting with loved ones and the world around us, and it is incredibly rewarding to help patients overcome hearing challenges and experience the benefits of better hearing.
As an audiology extern, I work alongside our audiologists conducting hearing evaluations, assisting with hearing aid cleanings and fittings, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the clinic to help create a positive patient experience.
I love getting to know patients, hearing their stories, and building meaningful relationships with them. I especially enjoy helping patients hear better, educating them about their hearing aids, and seeing the positive impact improved hearing can have on their daily lives.
I consider myself to be caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated.
Outside of work, I enjoy running, hiking, and spending time outdoors. I also love karaoke nights with friends and family and taking every opportunity to enjoy nature.
These now read much more like bios written by a U.S.-based healthcare practice and closely match Rachel's tone and style.
