Laura was born and raised in Fresno, California. She earned her undergraduate degree in communicative disorders–audiology from Fresno State and is currently pursuing her doctor of audiology degree at Rush University in Chicago.
Laura chose audiology because she is passionate about helping patients improve their quality of life and communication abilities. Hearing plays such an important role in connecting with loved ones and the world around us, and it’s incredibly rewarding to her to help patients overcome hearing challenges and experience the benefits of better hearing.
As an audiology extern, Laura works alongside our audiologists conducting hearing evaluations, assisting with hearing aid cleanings and fittings, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the clinic to help create a positive patient experience.
She loves getting to know patients, hearing their stories, and building meaningful relationships with them. She especially enjoys helping patients hear better, educating them about their hearing aids, and seeing the positive impact improved hearing can have on their daily lives.
She considers herself to be caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated.
Outside of work, Laura enjoys running, hiking, and spending time outdoors. She also loves karaoke nights with friends and family and taking every opportunity to enjoy nature.
